Is Assistance League for you?
Assistance League of Bend is a member-based, 100% volunteer driven organization. Members contribute in many ways, from hours spent on philanthropic programs to fundraising efforts in support of those programs to administrative duties behind the scenes. Assistance League is an organization of caring and committed people who form meaningful friendships while working together for a common purpose – meeting the needs of our community.
Members are asked to volunteer a minimum number of hours each year (currently 50) and serve on one standing committee. Members are also expected to attend monthly luncheon / business meetings on the first Tuesday of the month, as well as committee meetings and other events throughout the year. Member dues are $60 per year for voting members and include National Assistance League® membership.
An Informational Coffee for prospective new members is held twice each year, in the fall and spring. New members are introduced to the organization through a formal orientation / mentoring process and officially join in January or June.
